The ODM process encompasses a series of stages where the manufacturer designs, produces, and industrializes products tailored to customer specifications. Here is an overview of the ODM process :
1. Customer Needs Assessment
Manufacturer collaborates with the customer to understand their requirements and expectations, including product specifications, functional demands, and budget constraints. Customer offer detailed order plan (size and quantity ) and Approximate annual purchase amount about ODM/OEM of products.
Sample request : Based on customers’ previous order plan , Manufacturer check and advise the size and qty of sample ( if need diamond core bit ,customer need advise the matrix hardness for the correct rock formation ..etc ) . Manufacturer offer sample free of charge , customer need offer courier account to undertake the freight cost .
2. Product Design and Development
After customer confirmed about sample and quality of our products ,the customer need place the ODM/OEM order to manufacturer, Once down
payment received , Manufacturer and customer work together to establish a product design and development plan, ensuring timely
project delivery.
Manufacturer's engineering team takes charge of product design and engineering development, including prototype creation and testing.
Manufacturer cost estimation and manufacturing process planning.
3. Production Process Planning
Manufacturer formulates the production process plan, determining the equipment, tools, and procedures needed for production.
Process engineers are responsible for designing the production flow and arranging for production line layout and equipment commissioning.
4. Manufacturing
Manufacturer organizes the production process according to productdesign and process planning. Production team coordinates production schedules and quality control to ensure adherence to customer specifications.
5. Quality Control
Manufacturer establishes a quality control team to conduct product inspections and testing. Implements necessary corrective measures to ensure product compliance with quality standards and customer requirements.
6. Packaging and Logistics
Manufacturer plans product packaging design and packaging processes based on customer requirements. Handles product transportation and logistics arrangements to ensure timely delivery to the customer.
7. After-Sales Service
Manufacturer provides after-sales service to address customer issues during product use. Conducts product repairs and upgrades, and records customer feedback for product quality and performance improvement. This is a streamlined introduction to the ODM process. In practical operations, the process may vary due to differences in product types .
