Immediate Post-Use Care: After drilling, especially with concrete, it is vital to remove the built-up slurry from both the inside and outside of the bit. For wet bits, run clean water through them. A stiff brush can help dislodge caked-on material. Allowing slurry to harden inside the core or on the segments will create imbalance and reduce cutting efficiency on the next use. For dry bits, allow them to cool completely before cleaning with compressed air.
Correct Storage: Store bits vertically in a rack or horizontally on a shelf in a clean, dry environment. Avoid piling them on top of each other, as this can damage the delicate diamond segments.
