SINOCOREDRILL Launches THD-280 Horizontal Directional Drilling Rig for Versatile Underground Projects

Wuxi, China – SINOCOREDRILL has officially introduced the THD-280 Horizontal Directional Drilling Rig, a high-performance solution designed for urban infrastructure, pipeline laying, and trenchless construction. Built with advanced hydraulic systems and precise control mechanisms, the THD-280 offers exceptional torque, pullback capacity, and drilling stability for challenging underground projects.

 

Technical Excellence
The THD-280 delivers an impressive rated torque of 70,000 Nm, a maximum pullback and thrust force of 2800 kN, and a wide rotation speed range of 0–80 rpm (two-speed stepless control). The rig accommodates 6-meter drill rods, reducing the need for frequent connections and improving operational efficiency. Its 560 kW diesel engine ensures powerful and reliable performance under demanding site conditions.

 

Operational Versatility
With a 76 mm spindle through-hole diameter, the THD-280 is compatible with a variety of drilling tools and methods. The hydraulic crawler chassis offers excellent mobility, allowing easy transportation and repositioning without additional lifting equipment. Operators benefit from intuitive controls, precise steering, and stable drilling even in complex geological formations.
