We provide a comprehensive one-stop solution service for HDD drills, manufacturing all types of HDD drill rods and tools including starter rods, torque sleeves, pilots, reamers, and swivels. Our products are widely used by domestic and international clients and enjoy an excellent reputation.
Tungsten Carbide & Patented Inserts: Engineered for superior protection in rock HDD backreaming applications. The SINOCOREDRILL rock HDD backreamer features strategically placed tungsten carbide disks and patented special inserts to improve longevity across various drilling environments. Designed for smooth cutting downhole, these reamers are available in multiple sizes to maximize effectiveness and productivity in rock drilling operations.
| Reamer Type | Best For | How It Works | Key Advantage |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fluted Reamer | Soft soils (sand, silt, soft clay) | Large fluid ports and grooves (flutes) mix soil into a slurry for easy removal | Excellent for mixing and creating a clean borehole |
| Blade/Wing Cutter | Sticky clay | Sharp blades slice through cohesive soils without clogging | Very aggressive and fast in appropriate conditions |
| Carbide Tooth | Medium to hard soils, gravel, cobble, soft rock | Hardened, wear-resistant teeth grind and chip away at tougher material | Versatile and durable for mixed ground conditions |
| PDC or TCI | Hard, solid rock | Extremely hard cutters (PDC) or inserts (TCI) shear the rock face | The only effective option for drilling in solid rock formations |
Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) is a trenchless method for installing underground pipelines, conduits, and cables without extensive open-cut excavation. This technique involves drilling a precisely controlled pilot hole along a predetermined bore path, often navigating under obstacles like roads, rivers, or existing infrastructure.
After completing the pilot hole, reaming tools enlarge the bore to the desired diameter, and then the utility pipe is pulled through the enlarged hole. HDD minimizes surface disruption, reduces environmental impact, and offers a cost-effective solution for various underground utility installations.
